Fall of 2002
Today - I saw an Angel,
Not of Heaven; but of this Earth.
Her Garment White,
Clean and spotless before me.
A lite shone about her,
Penetrating all things,
Casting no shadow.
She saw me First and Called my Name,
Transfigured, I approached Her.
She stood with a warm Smile,
Beckoning me Closer.
She Held me captive with her Beauty,
Beauty Beyond all else I'd Seen.
Only her Smile and Alluring Eyes,
Could match the Radiance of her Dress.
Her Words rolled softly off her Tongue,
Softly Dancing in my Ears.
I Wished to Speak as She could-
Gently, Eloquently, and Full of Love.
Oh, if I was majestic as she,
The things we would speak of.
Instead this wonder left me,
Left me hungry to see her again.
Instead of sorrow, I felt joy,
Knowing I would see Her again.
