(He's 6'4" so he makes me look short)

I am a huge fan of almost anything athletic.  I have played organized sports since I was in first grade and I have been playing back yard pick-up games since I was three and a half.  (Not that I could do much then).  I love everything from weightlifting (got into that in high school like everybody else) to cross country (my first 5K race was when I was six, I got third place for the under thirteen division).  The following is a breakdown of the organized sports I have played:

Baseball:  9 years
Basketball:  8 years (one season on college intramural team)
Football:  5 years
Cheerleading:  3 years (five seasons & one competitive squad)
Soccer:  1 season
Track:  1 season
Water Polo:  1 season
Ultimate Frisbee:  1 season on college intramural team
Softball: 1 season on college intramural team
Ballroom Dance: Studied for one year at college

In the near future I would like to take up fencing and a form of martial arts!

One of my favorite things to do is write!  Mainly poetry, short stories, and novels.  Maybe some day I will stop being lazy and put some of my poetry on this site (the rest is too long!)  I started writing stories in third grade, when I wanted to be an author of children's books.  I wrote stories about "Pig Oinks" (a creation of mine when I was three or four, dragon type monsters...usually), "Pickle People" (pickles with arms and legs), and stories about being sucked into videogames.  I started writing poetry in seventh grade when we were given assignment in English class and my Valentine's Day poem made my teacher and two girls in the class cry.  It was then that I realized the power of words.  I began my first novel when I was a freshman in high school.  I am currently working on a number of projects all of which fall under the category of speculative fiction (science-fiction & fantasy).  I have two novels underway and two shorty stories in the making.  My poetry has taken a break for a while, I haven't written any for a few weeks.

Sometimes when I think too hard, it hurts.

Growing up, I was never much of a dancer.  At high school dances or whatever I would kind of just bob to the music.  You know what I mean, the classic white boy dance.  Then my first semester at college, I took a social dance class and learned the basics of ballroom dance (and I mean basics), but it taught me a little bit of how to move my body and that same semester some girl taught me how to moonwalk at a party.  I practices that and my second semester I really started getting into it and practiced a little and took intermediate social dance, clogging, and Latin Dance.  Latin Dance and Michael Jackson type dancing are my favorite.
